Hard day’s work
We’ll be honest… Today was not the best of fishing conditions.
Fish were not showing themselves on the fish finder. Weather was not good. Water was choppy. Windy…
We moved a number of times, trying our best to catch something in the shelter of Ram Island. You know conditions have gone sour, when you hook 11 Dogfish!
Anyway, you know what they say… A bad day of fishing beats any day at work!
The tally was as follows: 4 Bluefish cut-offs (cut the line with their teeth), 4 Striped Bass throwbacks, 1 Striped Bass keeper and the 11 Dogfish.
At least the group on the Benmar were not left holding an empty bag… They did get a 5th Striped Bass, which was a keeper.
Capt. George and the crew worked hard and made the best of what otherwise could be described as poor fishing conditions.
